I first started writing my Pokémon Stories in Winter (December) 2004, and I really enjoyed it. I
had always wanted to write Pokémon Stories, but I had never really gotten round to it. My first Pokémon Story was Mysteries of Syrenia (oh, how
young I seemed when I wrote that =P ) But then I got all sorts of ideas and put them to paper too.
Then, I read some Pokémon Stories on the internet, and I thought Hmm... I'd like to put my Pokémon Stories on the
internet for others to enjoy too. So I did. And here they are! My wonderful Dad showed me how to use HTML Editor
32 and I soon got the hang of it. I created a logo, and Dad got me a domain name on the Wanadoo servers. But then I decided that my
site needed to be remade - it was originally Pokémon Aqua Libraries, which was a rather - actually, very tacky design ^.^ - so I re-designed it
to the design you see here today.
Firstly, I start out with a plan. I write down the main storyline and plan out the sequence of events - like a sort of timeline. If there's any
bits of description
(for example uniforms, settings or characters) that I might struggle with, I draw them out by hand (only if I'm really in a planning mood, though
=P).
Then, I write down the story's bones. This means writing out the main actions and the storyline - basically the whole story without any detail
or discription. Then I go right back to the beginning, and put in all the description - bascially thicken it out a bit with similes and all
that stuff. Then, I give
them one final check through for grammatical or spelling mistakes (speechmarks, punctuation - and typos!), and then, it finally gets
put up onto the site. As soon as I get an idea for a new
one, I write it down on my Ideas List (this used to be a webpage on the site, but I took it down in April 2007 because I didn't really want to give
anything away - I want to make you wait *Heh*)
And I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to my brilliant and absolutely amazing Dad, whom without I wouldn't be typing this here today.
He has helped me, and still does, with a countless number of things (PHP Scripts, SHTML syntax, and of course the basic HTML code) and so I think
he definitely deserves credit ^_^
